Hi
I don't want to be negative about CSHP, because it is already a very good anti-cheating tool and nice 1 to whoever is behind it. It has some problems though that in my opinion prevent it being ready for general use...
1. A lot of lag and packet loss to everyone on the server
2. A big reduction in framerate
Before CSHP came along my framerate (Athlon@1.1GHz) rarely dropped below 80fps, which is my monitor refresh rate I believe. On a CSHP server, as soon as things get busy in a firefight, framerate drops through the floor.
I know that one particular version of CSHP was very bad for lag and packet loss, and supposedly was fixed - but I think it's basically using too much CPU time, occasionally enough to result in lag spikes.
