Is it good? Please tell me it's good. I won't be able to tell for at least another two hours. Download was going fine at the start but I guess a bunch of other people must've started downloading aswell 'cause it's taking a hell of a long time now.

Argh! Why don't they ever allow you to use Solo/Switch cards for things like this? Looks like I'll have to borrow *cough* my dads Master Card, if he lets me

Saw a few movies of the game in action, looks totaly mind blowing anyway, HL2 out around the start of november too, w00t!

I'm not sure actually. I think this steam stuff works a bit differently. When I paid for the silver package it just tied all the stuff (hl2, day of defeat, hl1 source, cs:source) up with my steam account. I didnt recieve any keys or nothing. Think maybe they have started using something different to authenticate stuff.

Fantastic game. Such an improvement on the original. Excellent graphics and I only got a drop in fps when I was running through water. Had a few minor issues with ping, had 50-60 on jolt servers whereas I usually have 20-30. Hoping that will fix itself though. Other than that I have no problems with it. And Dust is actually dusty now.

The new physics are excellent. Very realistic.

Blood sprays up walls when people are shot near them and it stays on people's bodies when they are shot. The machine gun is now worth using btw. I rushed 3 people and killed them all with it.

Was a little disappointed that you can only be the SEALs and one terrorist atm but hopefully they will add in the rest soon.

Wait a sec. If i purchase this through steam i'm going to have to download it right... then when HL2 is released i'll have to do the same? After everytime I format? On my connection that would take probably over a day just to get HL2 downloaded (yeah i tried pre-loading it and after 5 minutes it reached 0.1%) I think i'd rather wait till HL2 is just released, so i can get it over amazon
