Btw, I ran the video stress test and got 45 fps. That mean HL2 will be enjoyable on my setup?

45fps is pretty good on the stress test. Think mine is 33 on high settings.

Can't get it to execute server.cfg atm but have fun.

Will look more tomorrow, watching film with kids.

Hmm, just did it with the final version of CS:source, it runs smoother than in the beta, and I get 64 fps. There be fiddling!!!

What settings you running it at?

1024-768, low reflect, everything else on high, no aa or af. I think thats everything Basically just as recommended, except I turned reflect down a notch.

I have reflect on the medium setting, 2*AA and 4*AF. Same res as you, not too much off a difference really, makes it look nice and pretty for not too bad an fps.

Whelp, I just bit the bullet and bought the silver pack. Another 20 minutes and I'll be ready to play, apparently.

I ran the test at 1280*1024 with everything at the highest setting (no AA and no AF) and got 100 fps on the video stress test, not bad for an nVidia card .
