CS newbie help plz

Guys.

When i try to run forward and strafe round a corner (ala every other fps game even half life) the mouse look dont work u cant move to cursor round. Sorry for the dodgy description, but is that supposed to happen??

It seems you can only run forward and turn round corners or side step round them???!??

Have i got something setup wrong or does cs work like that.

Think you need to check your config NME.

I use mouse look to point and cursors to move.

dont have a problem strafing.

its not that. it works fine in normal half life.

when u stand still mouse look is fine

when u run forward mouse look is fine

only when you move forward AND strafe mouse look seems to lock up. bloody frustrating and fookin hard to play with

I suspect your computer is very old, and will only allow so many commands to come from your keyboard/mouse at a time.

Oh no, i will not allow that. We shouldn't give up quite so eaily. Er....... all i can think of is cleaning the mouse. Lol, maybe this is the end of your cs experience

If it works fine in HL you could copy your config.cfg from hl/valve to hl/cstrike and see if that helps. (you might want to back it up first).
On my machine, which is not too old, it complains if you press more than 3 keyboard keys at a time, but 2 at a time seems a bit stupid

NO, I understood the sentence, he is saying i over estimate hes newbie-ness.

NME try uninstalling then reinstalling HL and CS.

it is a fresh hl install and patch up to 1.07 and cs v1.1.

lol and yep been playing online for 4 years so not new just new to cs

btw my mouse is intelli explorer, so cleaning not really an option

could it be win2k pro?

Ensure you have a config in your CS dir that is properly configured. Try even renaming your config to nme.cfg and execing that from console, or setting up an autoexec.cfg to exec it. HL mods do weird stuff with configs sometimes.

No i got same optical under 2k and it works fine in cs.

Is the mouse lighting up while u play cs?

Check your config.cfg files are not read only, then do all your settings again.
