CS Cheaters and TK'ers

Is it me or has every server got at least 1 cheater or TK'er in? im getting sick of trying to play against people who can see you trough walls and the players who decide to wipe their own team only to get a 1 round dismissal.... i think there should be some sort of vote system that appears on your teams screen wether to let the TKer carry on playing or be kicked so there is a fair chance for those who TK by accident. All i can say is GRRRRRR

I don't think there are as many cheaters out there as most ppl think (more and more good players). I play on BW servers and have only seen one player I can honestly say is cheating. There is one thing worse than a cheat and thats a lpb who calls a hpw a cheat cos he killed him.

I think I have posted messages on this board about TKing before. They suck more than Saddam Hussain.

I mean I was in a game yesterday where I was shot through the wall nearly every single time.

Yes I know you can shoot through walls but these were times when there was no way in hell they should know where I was, like halfway up a ladder a few times. The guy in question was using a sniper rifle and had something like 30+ kills and 3 deaths for that round. Thankfully it wasn't a BW server.

As for bunnyhopping. I consider that cheating and people using it should be kicked. It's bad enough having to fight LPB's but when the lpb can use a cheat to move x3 your speed I don't think it's hardly fair.

I agree with you, all cheaters are ass holes but you cant go arround calling every one who shoots ppl through walls a cheat.

We could go on for ever with this so lets just say CHEATING is for crap players who normaly use an allias and they suck.

Bunny hopping is a way to move at x3 your speed even with a heavy gun. You can tell who's doing it as they will appear to be floating.

Btw you can't even keep up with a bunnyhopper in spectator mode.

Bunnyhopping is'nt cheating, It's something that has to be learnt, bunny hopping has been in most games and if you practise it you can do it e.g mahooooosive jumps in q2, speed increase in qw, q3 and cs.

As for cheating, not everyone is cheating; it's a natural reaction when caught either totally off guard or by someone you cant see to think they are. I think most players will agree that CS doesn't have the BEST collision detection, which i've moned about before. I.e. you can shoot just next to someone sometimes and still hit them

Then again cheating is extremly easy. At uni the other day i managed to find listed cheats (i.e. the VERY, VERY easy skincheat) b0rked models with poles out their asses, a no-sound run command, a see-through walls hack which enables you to do it on whatever graphic card you have, and plenty more. The point is nealy all of these will work without the server kicking ya off (if it does at all?) - all this in a 5 min yahoo search....

I don't need to use cheats as most of the time it's not hard to kick the other teams ass (unless they act as a team = very rare on a public server usually)

Like was said before, those that do are just after the fame and the glory.....

.....Which leads to my next point, how many clans use roger wilco and its ilk eh?

I think there is a lot less cheating than most people think...

I've lost count of the number of times I've been called a cheat just because I've had a particularly decent run. Yesterday I jumped onto a server on train, notched up 18 kills and 0 deaths, and the accusations started flying. A couple of the shots were pretty impressive, but none were particularly suspicious, but simply by the virtue that I was having a good day, I got accused of cheating. Do I get called a cheat when I'm playing bloody awful and end up 5/8 or something? No, course not, but I must be cheating when I'm playing well.

Mind, it's even worse for Mark (clan mate). He gets called a cheat almost every single time he plays now. He's an absolutely amazing player, and on modem too, of course I know him well enough to know he isn't cheating, but it's a pretty sad indictment of the CS "community" that the first thing that comes to mind is that someone is cheating.

The moral of the story? There will always be better players than you out there. There will be good players having a particularly good day, or players that are just very very good. These people will, on occasion, roll over you like a Panzer. Before you shout 'cheat', think about who it says more about, you or them.

re: Roger Wilco. We use it sometimes, largely so we can take the piss out of Daz when he gets cut down in a hail of fire or falls off a roof. Doesn't convey much tactical advantage to us, but it could easily make a big difference to a well organised bunch.

invisible walls by accident????

When I hit escape to come out of a game and then return to the game I see to encounter what some of you have been talking about. All of the walls become see through. I can't stop this until I restart the computer and I remember that this used to happen when I played Opposing Forces. Any ideas?

oh I forgot, "LPB" is also the favourite excuse of all no-skill whinging modem tarts for when they get killed. If you're on a modem, you should have this bound to every key of your keyboard you're not currently using, so you can just hit a random button when you die

Another thing that got me is the network code. It is not good. There are instances where I (and other players to me) have emptied into each other and not died simply because we are shooting ghosts.

It makes you think the person is running around in god mode when it's not the case. Seems to happen more to me when my ping is real low and the other is high (they ghost then to me).

Indeed, since the v1, i seem to be shooting no more than ghosts, thats why iv'e given up on CS till it's sorted, it's got f'all to do with skill now, iv'e gone back to playing TFC, i can't stand putting 30 rounds in, when nearly all hit it has no effect, i could stand cs when they changed over to 6.5, but now it's no more than a joke, gone are my 1 man stands where i could take out 2-3 players without reloading, the only way i kill now is by holding down the button and praying it hits Iv'e just banged Q3 back in, im gona find my long lost rail gun atleast that shoots where you point it and rewards good skill

Q3a is all about low ping ... low ping = good player, low ping + good skill = Really good player.

This 'Old' one was flung at me last night, "I would love to see ***** on a high ping, he would be crap i think" Well fuck me, you think iv'e never played on a modem for the first month or so playing Q2 i was playing on a 400-500 ping on bleeding US servers. I realy h8 the folk that say it's all about ping, it ain't i know loads of shit hot modem players. The guys that moan are allways the ones with crappy pings because they don't even know how to sort there modems out. By the time i finished with my modem, i had my pings down to 110 ish on most nights

Q3 is pointless playing on a modem and/or crap PC.

If you have a decent machine and ISDN or above, you will be good at Q3. Mainly because you can pick up almost any weapon and just spray away with it.

If you are on a modem, you are largely screwed.

(Actually, Q3 is crap even on a decent conn and machine, but slightly less so).

True i spose, q3 ain't the best on a modem, but hey guess im lucky to have have 2 computers hooked up on isdn lines, both with geforce cards on high end athlon cpu's But im sticking to my guns on the Ping=good player thing, like fuck does it, i hammer on loads of lpb's as do many lpb's hammer on me. Tis about skill i guess though once i did take on 6 modem players in a 6v1 and won 54-6, after that they still called me a lame lpb Boy was that so untrue, i think the ping thing went out of the window when i agreed to play them, They thought they were gona kick my ass
