CS 1.3 Problem...

Right... first of all, i downloaded the damn 1.3 MOD Patch 2 Days ago.. without thinking that it was 1.3 Retail i needed.. that set me back 2hours downloadin 18+mb...

So yesterday i find a * Traffic Free * site to download 1.3 Retail... i download, which took 4hours... only to find that the f***ing Download was Corrupt....

I went into a Rage...

So i asked my Bro' who is on ADSL to download it for me... he does.. i Install it...

Like the new Menu System in CS... now the Real Test... The Game...

What can i say... i can say.. I HATE IT!!

Firstly, when your Playin or Spectating and moving Up Down Left Right.. you get a Gentle KickBack, sending you either Backwards, Sideways or Up.

That really annoyed me, coz i have been tryin to download somethin that isn't workin right...

Apart from that, the Lag i get from the Servers... OMG! when you walk, you stay still for a Second., then just Die...

Also i noticed that when i go Terrorist, i only get CS Weapons, meaning i can only use Crap Cheap Weapons, coz it won't let me buy anythin else.


Does ANYONE think that this is also the same, and should be Scrapped, coz i ain't Impressed at all.....

half of that makes no sense......

there is some lag, but nothing paticurly bad tbh.

everything else makes no sense, the only faults i have are thus:

when ur in spec mode(after dieing), it doesn't *remember* what type of spec u were using, so i keep it in free chase cam, after i've respawned, the next time i die it'll be in freelook, i'm sure it used to stay in the same spec mode that u had it in last for the whole map..

hhmm..nothing else really, but that is really annoying tho =/

I think its cuz either you git a crappy comp or a 56k.
Am i right?
Was a little jumpy for me but not close to that bad.

Well, i certainly don't have a Crappy Comp... but i am on a 56k Modem.. anyway...


I notice today, the * kickbacks * have stopped, but i am always gettin FLUSH ENTITY PACKETS.

I checked the Latency of other Players, and their Latency (Ping) is like 200 - where as mine was way way out... like 1000...

Now, on 1.2, my Highest was roughly 300/400, but this just blows that outta the water...

i have found that 1.3 only pushes my lag up 2
250/300 and im on a 56k.
And i havent got any of the FlushPackage things either.......

Sounds like you've bigger problems than the CS update. If your pinging 1000 (which is unplayable and hence your bound to be narked with CS - I would be) and everybody else is 200 then your not connecting to that server at all well. Try other games if you get better pings on others then it's that particular server, or if you get high pings on all it's your connection. Then go through the usual rigmarole, i.e. change your IP (try BW or something) and dial in again. If that doesn't help then it's not your IP it's you computer (most likely your modem). Update drivers and then if all else fails sod it and get some bots to play with!

As for the problem where you can only buy the other teams weapons, this is just an intermittent fault with the menus.
You can still buy the correct weapons for your team, so long as you can remember the number combinations to press
