We have not personally received anything Official from Valve regarding this, but this is an understandably slow news day... so here goes. I spotted a message sent to the HLDS email lists, saying that Valve Software's Erik Johnson stopped by the #hlds IRC channel a few days ago, and said that while the Half-Life and CS patches are ready to go, due to the recent events earlier this week the patch releases had been pushed back until next week.

Good ole Erik from Valve, his name is thrown around more than rice at a wedding.
