From Cry More's Tabula Rasa Char Planning Tool - R1a has been released

"What's Cry More's Tabula Rasa Char Planning Tool (CM's TRCPT)?

It's a character build planner for Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa.
You can reach it via Cry More's Tabula Rasa Char Planning Tool - R1a with a web browser, preferably with Firefox for best experience.

What features does it have?

[x] Ability to create own character builds,
[x] ability to save own character builds in an on-line database,
[x] ability to load character builds from the on-line database,
[x] reflection of current game logic,
[x] up-to-date skill descriptions.

Where should I report feature requests, errors, bugs to?

To CM's forums please, in this section: Cry More's Tabula Rasa Char Planning Tool

Why did my saved build got deleted?

Most likely it had an inappropriate name. When saving a build, please choose a name that reflects what the build is about.

Why does the tool save builds on-line and not via cookies?

So people can share their builds more easily and access them from every computer. Further releases of the tool will introduce build rating and eventually more sophisticated ways of discussing a build.

Is an off-line version planned?

No.

Thanks

Thank you to all who helped with ideas, beta testing, praise and criticism."

Additional releases up to R1d in the mean while, I hope you enjoy the tool:

New Features
  • Ability to delete builds for trusted users,
  • more freedom for a build name when saving a build,
  • attribute/training which are left are being displayed now too in addition to spent and total ones,
  • more sophisticated build list, with paging and class-paging,
  • ability to directly load builds from URL via http://trcpt.crymore.de/?build=n, where n equals to a build number in the database,
  • number of active users is being shown now.
Fixes
  • Build names are escaped correctly now.
Tweaks
  • Added a work-around for IE/Opera/Safari to display proper background of the class icon boxes,
  • changed database connection strategy, more than 100 active users should be possible now.

Additional releases up to R1g in the mean while, I hope you enjoy the tool:

New Features
  • Ability to rename builds for trusted users, [x] even more sophisticated build list, one can list builds created in the last 24 hours / 7 days / month and one can change sorting by id, creation date, class, race, level, name - ascending and descending,
  • followed skill changes in TR 1.3, existing builds use new skills at same pump level as saved,
  • followed skill changes in TR 1.4.4, existing builds use new skills at same pump level as saved,
  • added race support TR 1.4.4 "Hybrids", you can choose between Human, Brann, Forean and Thrax and work with correct attribute bonuses.
New Features
  • Ability to save a build as a temporary build, which will be deleted from the database after one week, you can use this feature for intermediate, not final builds,
  • normal builds (not marked as temporary upon saving) will now get deleted from the database if they haven't been accessed/viewed for at least 3 months, you can save your builds in the database permanently if you view your builds at least once in a 3 months period.
Tweaks
  • Added tool tips for some mini icons,
  • increased opaqueness for skill descriptions,
  • removed memory leaks,
  • added some spacing when in char planning view to help with tool tips not being displayed in full when using a small screen resolution,
  • tool tips are a bit wider now, this should help with IE not displaying skill titles in tool tips.

Yeah, that's it!

I am running around the Warhammer forums telling how bad it will be. Just get in line with the other troll. So far I had just some concerns in specific areas and in on-topic threads. I'd like the game to be a success, the Warhammer fans deserve it and the market could use 2nd major player. I don't have sympathies for EA, nor GoA and have good arguments why.

Maybe I even end up playing it myself, who knows.

What's left then? Some blind or with a stone age comp guy complaining about bad looking Tabula Rasa - the game's graphics are prolly better than the next major MMOs releases will have and currently set the standard. TR has some issues too and I am voicing them, graphics (look and performance) are none, I haven't even seen one bringing this point up about TR so far.

Also, if you don't like my points I make about Warhammer, feel free to respond there, I'll take the time to answer, eventually.

To clarify my position i don't think the game is shit because i can't play it. I read about it when i was looking for a new mmo and i genuinely think it looks shit.

I also think age of conan looks shit as well.
