crit blade--->5 spec..any good?

Has anyone out there got a 5 spec SB? Im considering changing my crit blade into a 5 spec so that I get the best of both worlds...has anyone else done this - or can anyone testify how you do as a 5 spec compared to when you had your crit. After getting some questions answered on vnboards my 50 template should be something like this....

Ste 35
Swo (will prolly respec to axe) 36
CS 34
LA 39
Env 34

..anyway - just want a know how 5 specs do endgame compared with their crit cousins. Also - would it still be better to land the opener with the 2 hander (with enervating) and then swap to 1 hander (DOT) /LA (Disease)?

Necroscope has gone 5-spec I believe and (appropriately for an SB) is quietly killing enemies all over the place. I know peeps that have borrowed chars from other players (tsk tsk, complete disaproval obviously) and have then decided to respec to that.

Me personally? I got no idea about SB specs, I just run around with an undead guy to do all the work for me. No, not Nicodemus.

Looks like a solid template, it's the template my SB will follow pretty much. Wether or not I can auto-train stealth we'll see if I can afford tossing a few more points here and there.

I only talked to one with kind of that template, namely Bloodied, and as far as I can tell from him, he loves it.

Though what I allways hear from other SBs is, "it's all down to your playstyle" and I think that's pretty much on target.

I heard a rumor we get a free respec for all skills once the patch hits, and then another at 50, but you also get respec of the different lines so I say go for it. You can allways undo later if you don't like it.

Erm, there is a full respec with 1.52 dont matter what lvl you are all get this, the 1 skill respec at lvl 20 and 40.

You will see many changes in this version, the largest is probably that of respec (being able to re-allocate your character's specialization points). We have decided to give all current players of the game the ability to respec fully - not just select one specialization at two different levels (although we will support that as well) as we previously announced. We are giving all current characters the chance to fully respec as a way of thanking all current players for being with us over the last eight months, and to allow all of them to take advantage of skills and abilities that were not available to them when they started playing and speccing their characters.

too much stealth mate.
35+11 = 46, then u only need rr4 to have 49(which is enough even vs other lvl 50 assassins)

far most I know of choose to go 34 or 33 stealth.
if you can free up a point for something else by lowering stealth 1 or 2, then do that. And spend some time in rvr

5-Spec is simple,

3x Stealth most go 34
39 Left Axe for comback frosty gaze 5/6s stun chains of evade
3x Weapon Axe or Sword
34 Crit for PA and CD combo 5/6s stun opener


36 envemon with current items + rr 6 = lifebane or,
37 envemon with current items + rr5 = lifebane.


Weapons You want,

Main hand
Axe
Crafted Arcanium Cleaver 16.5 dps 4.0 spd min 98%qua 35% bonus.
Sword
Crafted Arcanium Bastard Sword 16.2 dps 4.1 spd min qua 98% 35% bonus.
Off hand

Arcanium Hand Axe 15.0 dps 2.4? spd min qua 99% 35% bonus ( try and get 100% qua).

I have gone 5-spec, this is after levelling a pure shadowzerker on US PvP. I find it more flexible and the CS styles are FUN and IMO thats what its all about.

My template is pretty much the same as above give a point or two there:

39 LA
34 Axe
34 CS

As regards Stealth and Envenom - I'm auto-training stealth until level 48. By doing this I will gain 12 points in stealth without actually investing any skill points. I am however a bit undecided as to put my last points in Env or Stealth, as although I love RvR getting to RR6 will take some time.

So maybe end up like this:

39 LA
34 Axe
34 CS
36 Stealth
36 Envenom

Like I said not sure how it will all pan out (I'm currently level 40 - not bad for 4 days played lol).

Try asking Hoster - I see Azal has already replied and you've talked to Bloodied I think.

edit: I forgot to mention spec for levelling - most people afaik go shadowzerk until mid/high 30s when you can start pouring points into CS. By this I mean keeping LA at your lvl, with Axe a little behind it - don't forget Envenom as it is VERY useful having debuffs and DoTs. GL
