Does anyone know if its still possible to complete the act 1 missions? I've done the act 2, but like the other badge for completeness

Iirc the Encoded Missions Disks (it has to be an Encoded one for Act 1) stopped dropping. So unless you can buy them off someone, no.

An 'Encoded Rebel Transmission [x/4]' or an 'Encoded Imperial Transmission [x/4]? Good stuff if so, I'd killed a load of NPCs though and only got the normal transmissions [x/4]. Will keep looking then.

Nope they dont drop anymore and if your on Euro-server then they never did.

I beg to differ, seeing as I play on Chimaera and have about 6 or 7 various parts in my inventory...

Are they called;

Encoded Imperial Transmission x/4

OR

Encoded Rebel Transmission x/4?

If not then those are not the Dead-Eye disks.
People confuse those with, Imperial Transmissions, Encoded Messages, Rebel Ordes etc. etc.
Im still fairly sure they do not drop on US servers. Might be enabled in Euro ones but I doubt it.

Ahh right - I have been collecting some bits n bobs - but I dont think any of them have ever had "Encoded" at the front.

You can still combine those disks tho. You will get ~1,5kcr and 100 or so faction points if you return the whole disk to a faction recruiter.

Right - I mysteriously found in my pack the other day something called "Encoded Transmission". I must have done a loot all at some point and never checked. When I brough up its radial menu it had a "decode" option. Upon selecting this it turned into an "Imperial Transmission 3/4". Now, I've been picking up Imperial Transmissions 3/4 before, but dont remember ever having to decode one.

Is this the type of Imp Trans you need for act1? And if so should I keep it seperate so I dont accidentally combine it with the other sort?
