So what movie scenes have freaked / creeped / spooked you out recently ? Doesn't have to be a horror flick, any movie that you personally have been spooked by.

I watched Signs last night (Mel Gibson). The bit where the alien walks past the childrens party captured on a home movie camera raised the hairs on the back of my neck !

The other one was American Werewolf in London when he opens his eyes in the woods. This bit:

Not a movie scene, but a music clip...

The video to "Black Hole Sun" by Soundgarden is still creepy after all these years. So surreal and somehow scary. (just YouTube "Black Hole Sun")

Then, there was this one scene in Saving Private Ryan... where this one guy got stabbed by the german soldier... very sloooowly. This scene sends shivers down my spine every time I see it.

The scene in the original exorcist when the little girl is screaming at the priest to *!"@ her @;!!!! , when i first saw that many many years ago it really shocked me.

The end of the ring1 when she comes out of the TV is of course very spine tingling.

Also when I first watched signs in the movies the scene the OP mentioned also sent a shiver up the old spine. Doesnt have the same effect on repeat viewings but would expect that.

I'll just begin this with a disclaimer - I frighten very easily. I had nightmares after watching Jaws, and Ghostbusters I and II (I was between about 10 and 15 when I saw those films).

The Descent made me absolutely crap myself - when they're with the infra-red camera / heat sensor jobbie, and the monster just walks behind them.
Watched the Excorsism of Emily Rose the other night, and there were lots of bits that made my hair stand up on end.
Saw and SawII just make me really uncomfortable, but I wouldn't call them creepy as such.

Not even hair gel makes my hair stand on end (cos I got a number 2 all over LOL) but the bit in Pet Cemetry with the girl with the deformed face in the bedroom freaked me out

Have to admit there were a few bits in that film that freaked me out as well...

Also pretty much any film that relies on psychological fear rather than "boo" sort of scaryness terrifies me...

Either the Excorcist or the Original Ring (not the Hollywood remake) where you see the girl and her bones are crunching as she walks towards the lead star.

At the time, the Gremlins when it came out scared me... now I think there awesome :D

Some horrific scenes in Saw and Saw2; especially opening scene of the second one; can hardly watch it without cringing. The needle scene too...oh and the hands in the glass box...oh and the oven...oh and AHHHHH

havent seen saw 2 but was sooo uncomfortable through the whole of saw one kept thinking "jeeesus what the hell would i do??" and signs omg rofl i was sat on the sofa watching that in the afternoon and i actually looked behind myself (to make sure nothing had like materalised through the sodding wall that the sofas backed up on to, dappy toad lol).

anyone seen the old black and white movie (i think its b&w) the village of the damned? where those kids are being all spookey, that was creepy and in the end of invasion of the body snatchers (remake) where donald sutherland starts doing that pointy screamy thing thats creepy that is.

oooh and the velociraptors from jurassic park, them, theyre well creepy.

however one scene that always used to make me jump (and i literally only stopped jumping after i saw the movie for like 100 times) was the bit where linda coslowski goes to fill her water bottle and the croc jumps out and grabs it in crocodile dundee.

If you've got the dvd watch the extras, they explain each of the traps, that one in particular is geniusly nasty

Probs say; Texas chainsaw, in general. Other scenes like Alien following the cat, or in the ventilation system.
