Creative Extigy sound product any good?

I see the external extigy sound product for laptops going new on ebay for about £60 ,is it worth it? I would like to watch DVDs in 5.1 and maybe play games.......
A lot of people says it is serverely limited by nature of it's USB connection, others seem to disagree, anyone got actual experience of it?
Just bought a Dell Inspiron 8200 2.2 mobile P4 w/Radeon 9000

its more suited toward laptops or small life stye pcs, you will be better of getting a audigy or an audigy 1 card to make better use of your speakers mate

i'd wait to see if they bring out a new version of it.

I use usb for my sound system and the quality is so good, i'm quite sceptical if a soundcard with speakers would sound better.
