Creative 512 Soundcard

Had been using this on my 2k machine for a good few months then it decides not to work

What happens is, when 2k is booting up, it gets as far as the loading screen (the one wiv the blue bar) gets to about 75% then just crashes.

If i start in safemode its fine, soundcard is installed with no errors etc. If i remove the card the machine boots fine too. I've tried it in different PCI slots but no joy and the drivers are upto date.

I dont have another machine to try it in

Any ideas guys?

Boot into safemode, and then uninstall the drivers. Then boot into normal mode and reinstall the drivers. That should sort out any funnies that may have crept into your system.
