Crashing when porting

Hi guys,

Posting this on behalf of a guildie.

When he ports from dom or nf he keeps crashing.

He says he has tried most things to sort it.

Any one else had this problem or can give any advice?

try a full fill check to make sure he doesn't have a iffy file.
check memory and HD for errors as porting loads a great deal of data and it may be hitting a bad piece of storage

memtest86 to tst the memory
scandisk to test the HD

other than that try installing daoc to another folder see if the resolve the issue

that all i can suggest with out specs and list of soft ware installed

Get him to check out the link to thread below and do the hardware checksum thing. I had similar problem when porting and cured it for me
