Crashing problem...

Since installing XP I've been crashing every 15 minutes or so while playing DAoC. This happens with both clients and it's really beginning to piss me off.

I'm running 1.4 AMD Athlon, Geforce 2MX and 256 DDR ram. I plan to upgrade soon but had more important things to do etc ;o

Sometimes I can go for a few hours without crashing, other times mere minutes. The game freezes and my comp stops responding.

I've tried downloading the latest nVidia drivers from their webby and this hasn't seemed to help.

I was thinking that there's mebbe something I've missed to do with the compatibility of the GeForce2MX and WinXP?

I'm not very computer savvy so please remember this when replying.

Thanks in advance. :>

seeing how you have an Athlon, I assume you have a VIA chipset.
do you have the latest 4in1 drivers?

The MX range wont give u the fx of SI, but should not affect the machine like that.

What wattage is your power supply, for that spec id recomend at least a 300w, you may find it just isnt coping too well.

Is it home edition or pro edition? Do you have stuff liek virus scanners or defraggers runniing the background? Try shutting down all other software running you dont need in your task tray.
