Crash To Desktop

OK, I am about to lob this computer out the window!!!

First - my setup:
Gigabyte GA-7NNXP motherboard
AMD Athlon 2800+
1Gb (2x 512Mb) Ram
Creative 3D Blaster 4 Ti4200 (64Mb)
Soundblaster Live Player

So - last night during the relic raid, just as I got there, my machine drops me to desktop. Odd - wait a few moments, relog and join the action. Ten minutes later I go again. Log back join in. And then after 5 mins. And then after 20 mins.

So I change characters. It happens again. And again.

So I log off and go to bed.

Following morning (this morning), I go to RightNow - there's a surprise - something else not working

So I toddle off to the US Support pages and have a look around. I try all the DirectX stuff they suggest. I uninstall some software. I remove all my character ini files and try again. No, No, No and No.

So - drivers - let's give them a shot. Bear in mind I've been working fine for a little over a week since I had my last problem - I've been in RvR, I've been on a Keep Take, Barrows, SI - all over the place and had NO problems at all.

So, I get the latest nVidia graphic drivers - no joy. I get older graphic drivers - no joy. I reupdated my chipset drivers. No joy.

This all started last night during the relic raid, and no is driving me nuts - I cannot stay in the game for more than 10 minutes without just dropping to the desktop. I've even installed Daoc and SI TWICE with no luck...

Any and all suggestions would be wonderful!!!

here is a list of stuff i would try...

tweak graphics card settings, starting at the lowest of everything.

change colors, 16bit to 31bit or vice versa (you never know).

turn graphics acceleration down a notch from my comp properties.

run dxdiag and tweak them settings.

bump up page file to above 500meg if you can or havent already done it.

run online virus scan, specially since that feckin blaster thing is around.

but without a proper error message you prolly gonna have to wait till RightNever is up and send em the dxdiag.txt to get any decent result...
