Indeed... I have had close to no LD's so far in all this time after the beta. Today I had one but that was because my whole cable modem connection disconnected from my ISP for some damn reason.

Yeah, I have had one since then and maybe one before that. It is great to be lucky isn't it :)

I had no link deads last night using Demon internet in the UK, but of a group of 5 I was the only one left on 3 separate occasions leading up to about 1 am... these players were using other ISPs, but not the same one. I reckon there was a major node struggling somewhere between UK and France....

If you're worried about going Linkdead (particularly during a big fight) and want to check on the status of your game connection, press Alt-Tab while playing Camelot. Clarifies the situation nicely.

No noticeable problem on our side, but if you had problem last night or still have, could you post (or even better report through RightNow) not only your ISP but also a traceroute to :

193.252.123.13 (prydwen)
193.252.123.33 (excalibur)

We have been contacting our ISP and many other ISPs across Europe already, but we do not control everything...

Thanks

Yep, I went LD last night at about 1am as did 3/4's of the group - just in the middle of a pull :(

Three died, one of whom also LD'd and so auto-released.

First LD I've had in quite some time, though.

HELLO????

Don't come in here and MOAN about your bad connection and then expect a magic wand to be waved and it all gets better.

Kemor has asked you to post some traceroutes to help the man out. Can you not get it into your heads that this might actually help him to help you??

For those of you who don't know how to do a traceroute it's as simple as this.....

Click "Start".
Go up to "Programs"

Then, depending on your Windows version, you'll see something on that first menu near the end called "MS-DOS Prompt" or in "Accessories" called "Command Prompt".

When you run this, a black window will appear with something looking like this..

C:\>

After this you just have to type "TRACRT XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX" where XXX is the IP of the server....either....

193.252.123.33 For excalibur
or
193.252.123.13 for Pryddy

Once they've finished, drag your mouse over them and highlight them.
Click on the icon in the TOP LEFT HAND CORNER of this window and go to "Edit" and "Copy" this text.

Then post on here and right click on this window and "Paste" it.

If you didn't know how to do this then ask. You seem perfectly able to whine about a bad connect but incapable of taking steps to resolve the problem.

I live in Holland . I'm connected through Chello cable (daughter of UPC).
Last 3 days or so the connection is REALLY bad. So bad I can't play really. The connection dies every 20-30 seconds, so nothing happens on my screen (2 red squares). Most of the time I get some packets to the computer before I LD but not all the time.
So while I'm dead in the water I die alot and can't play.

I'm a bit safer in groups but they can't rely on me because I can LD every second, and most of the time I can't cast the mobs on time.

I did some research.
I pinged the router between my ISP and the internet exchange here (to check my ISP's network). It gives me normal reading, 10-20% packetloss, but no lag spikes.
I pinged 193.252.123.33 (excalibur server where I play). It gives a higher latency, a bit larger packetloss 20-25% but also no lag spikes which can make you LD. That is really silly because ingame it is terrible.

I have a ping running while I play. And when I LD the packets keep flowing. It's really stupid and frustrating.
Here is a tracert, but it looks like a network problem somewhere in France.
