i heard they r the best in the game due to quality so what does quality do to the weaps to make them so good after being crafted?

quality figures in the damage calculation.

dps is capped at your level, and quality applies AFTER the cap is reached. which means, you will do less damage than your cap, with crappy 85% shop weapons :)

(I THINK  )

... which is irrelevant in this patch at higher levels, as noone can craft high DPS weapons :)

This will change with the 9th and 10th tier materials, however :)

THen try dropping some lovely plats on your high level weaponsmiths ( I believe Hendrick and Carnelian are the realms highest ) as weaponcrafting costs a ton to gain on.

On the same point, are any fletchers intending on raisong over 500 ? Again, this is a skill that costs an obscene amount to gain from 650

Tailors & armoursmiths can work closely together to minimise their skillgain costs, but Weaponsmiths & Fletchers need some cash loving :)

I don't believe its the job of individual players to fund crafters(other than purchases). Thats what guilds are for [and perhaps even alliances].

High Crafters should be charging enuff to make at least 50% profit on items to be able to fun their progress via sales.

Age old rule, gotat reinvest them profits, so gotta make sure the profit margin is high enuff to fund growth :D

Solid: Thank you for justyfiying my intended pricing policy on netherium and arcanium :)

Mattshanes: I have a shop, link in my sig. Use the shop, Luke! But I am afraid I visit the forge very rarely at the moment.

Krait also has 700+ fletching I believe... and has been putting all that woodwork to good use on Excalibur's doors recently <grin>

Who said carpentry isn't a tradeskill?

To an extent, I agree, but there are a great many people that moan about the lack of crafters and crafted goods, but do not fund one via a guild or alliance. If they are so in need of a higher level crafter, then they could help one along a bit :)

Hendrick : I haven't been able to get on markedangel for a few days due to some wierd cable problems, what is your policy on tier 9&10 ? Mine is currently the same as for 7&8 but may review that when I see what skillgain costs me on patch day :)

It is good to know we have high fletchers aswell, I shall order instruments for my minstrel as soon as they patch them into the crafting on euro :)

Fatgit: I think markedangel may be unavailable for a time, as it is restructuring and now finally allows us to drop that stupid quality-pricing thing. At the moment I take 20% markup for all stuff up to and including mithril, adamantium and asterite are 30%. I don't know how expensive netherium and arcanium materials will be, but seeing the pain in crafting at Benowyc (Caer Ping Pong) or carrying stuff from Excalibur back to Camelot, plus exceeding cost, I think 40-50% markups really are in order.

On funding: Of course it's not the job of others to pay for my skilling. But it still is expensive as hell, and whenever you find some spare change left after repairing relic doors or buying that new set of black dye, it certainly is put to good use at a crafter. I am the only weaponcrafter with skill over 700 on this server, and that's a bit sad.

I will go all the way to 1000+ skill, in fact when the patch comes I will do nothing else but craft again. I just hope one or two others could do the same (though it feels nice being at the top, I must admit). Crafters are an asset to the realm, so support those in your guild with all the coin you can spare.

I'm going to be looking for tier 9 and 10 staves once the patch comes out. So any fletchers who need a cash injection, contact me in game :)

I would be willing to pay in advance for a decent quality duskwood shod staff.

I'm not as high as Lessa (no uber guild backing me i'm afraid:( )
but i'm currently at 778 in fletching...damn relic doors bankrupted me....and will be raising it to 1000+ as soon as i conceivably can.
Hmmm...99% Quality Duskwood longbow with a nice enchantment..only Bow of the North from the Dragon can beat that :D
