Do any of you crack your fingers, wrists etc?

When i wake up on a morning, i can barely move until i crack my bones. My fingers, wrists, elbow(right) and my knees. Its horrible, and i don't know how to stop.

If my bones are stiff until i crack them, how would i actually stop doing it and not be stiff? A friend told me my local GP won't do shit accept tell you to stop cracking them but its hard if i can barely move.

indeed something to do with air or liquid in the joint i think?
anyway, i used to do it for years as an adolescence, each finger, but i just forced myself to stop and i know you get the ache sometimes and urge to or you accidently lean and they crack but just stop doing it completely and you kind of lose the ability too, i can do it on my middle fingers but dont and no ache

only problem i have are my ankles, as im so tall they used to hang off edge of my bed, but when i started gyming and running i used to get muscle pains in my achille tendons and then started sleeping diagonally seems to work no pain or aching, sometimes they occasionally crack when i stand up though which is a bit annoying

Okay, I am not a nurse so technical terms are out. Air bubbles form at the joints of the body, and thusly when you move said joint it causes the bubble to pop causing the cracking sound. It's a lot like popping some bubble-wrap.

Its gas bubbles, mainly carbondioxide in the Synovial fluid that causes the popping sound. And according to a mate of mine if you have joint problems and is still young it might be as simple as you dont drink enough water.

Well i doubt neither of us are doctors, and if anyone is they would be stupid to give you a diagnose over the net.

Go see a doctor explain your troubles and they might help you.

Is the problem I have at the moment which seems to have come on mostly since I stopped walking/running so much. Maybe it's time I got off my arse and started doing some exercise again :) There's a problem with sleeping diagonally if there is someonelse in your bed though and even then, it's difficult to stop your feet from poking out of the bottom of the bed. Do you turn the duvet so it's like a diamond across your bed or leave it like normal and have nothing up by your shoulders. Catch 22 really as a tall person :(

Not like I can get a king size bed as a student in student accomodation either :(

i never have anyone else in the bed suppose so im generally alright:p

Have got a double here but it still is no better :( Bare in mind that a standard double bed and 3/4size ones are still the same length, and a single bed is. It's just the queen/king size beds which are longer if I remember right and even that isn't by much.

i have a double jointed thumb and sometimes it locks up and wont let me move it unless i crack it :|

also my ankle clicks when i rotate it but this is due to a childhood injury involving me, a 15m steel ladder and a lot of stupidity :p

Noone should read the following:

There's one "bone" that pops too when you're riding rough and "it" slips out and hits the tailbone at a REALLY wrong angle.

see now i betcha wished you listened to me!

i bloomin wish i'd listened to Toh :( eww

btw HA @ all you tall folks being short kicks arse (or it would if it could reach...or had a ladder) i can curl up quite comfortably in a single seater arm chair, always get plenty of leg room in car and plain journeys, can lay stretched out full length in the bath and not get cold knees and even though B2 is 6'6" i still take up more of the bed than him!

aparantly when he tries to shuffle me out the way i manage to go limp and rigid at the sam time, much the same way as a toddler does when its mother tries to put it in a push chair( all this while im sleepin!)

that's how it works :p like when you're taking a bath with the gf. You may end up getting a tiny bit of water on your shoulder if you're lucky.

What??!!... I really don't care about the water when I am in a shower with a lady tbh.
So is that like just standing in there... taking a real shower... two people? Sounds like a stupid idea if you ask me.;)

You don't have a girlfriend. You're unloved by everyone
