Well been playing CoV for a week now and gonna cancel my subscription before i have to pay anything. I find this game has some great potential but fails in alot of areas lack of gameplay being the biggest flaw it just feels unfinished and unpolished. The missions are repetitive and boring and at a certain level most characters cannot solo or its a lot of running around, i dont think a game should be so heavily dependent on grouping. From what ive seen of the pvp side its pretty messy hit or miss no skill fumbling. The one thing that really got my back up was the missing, no matter how i tried to ogranise enhancements and aids i still missed so many times it was a joke.If this game was free play like guild wars i might of played it a bit more but theres now way am i paying for it.Some may say i didnt play long enough but i believe i have played and seen enough to not bother putting anymore time into this game.Like i said this game had great potential but fails miserably.I'd rather pay for world of warcraft at least the pve is good.Back to dark age of camelot spose :fluffle:

im not having a problem going solo with my Brute (only level 24), in fact i tend to stay away from groups because of the stupid amount of MM's and crazy pets that run around grabbing agro from all over the mission... soon as the noob MM's realise the pets have gone rambo they call them back, the mobs get attracted by my auto taunt and i get nuked by the adds :x

as for the PVP miss rates... yeh it sucks, i have all 3 primary attacks slotted with 3 dmg SO's and 1 acc SO (soon to be 3dmg/2acc/1rch so's)

i dont miss 'as' much with the SO's but i still find myself swinging away at thin air alot :x

whats really getting me down is the stupid base building costs, im going to have to join a large supergroup if i want to see any sort of decent base :x
so far i have collected over 85K prestige, and the rest of my SG members have collected around 40-50K each yet we cannot even afford to setup a basic workshop :(

just 2 things spring to mind
yes the story arcs etc can get a bit repetative, but if you do them rather than the paper missions atleast you get the background info etc, repetative ? sure.. but no more so than chain killing orange mobs in daoc for 50 lvls .. its how mmo's work :p
secondly, what lvl did you get to ? cos they % bonus off training, DO, and SO enhancements is worth bearing in mind, if you below 12 then you will have trouble hitting stuff :)

Have u played DAOC lately ? there are much more quests and the expansion catacombs has instances and quests u can choose to grind if u want to but there are other ways as in CoV only difference is Dark Age Of Camelot has much more pve and pvp gameplay than CoV specially the pvp side with the free expansion New Frontiers where pvp(rvr) is played now. Also soon DAOC will have Darkness Rising the new expansion aimed at level 30+ I'm not slating CoV completely just saying that in my opinion this game lacks so much when it could have been a great game. :fluffle:
btw i got to level 23
