Couriers .. New Event NPCs?

With all the fighting over DF drops going on, it seems that people have forgotten about events.

Are the Dergan Couriers and Curmudgeon Couriers that run down the east side of the Shannon River near the parth farm new? I certainly don't remember seeing them before. All they do when you try to talk to them is give a dirty look. The curms run down to the curm camp, hang around with the curms there for a minute or so, then run out into the river at high speed. The dergans go a little way south, then also run into the river and disappear at high speed.

If anyone does manage to get them to talk, please let me know what they say.

That's a cool new quest, no event.

You can play the quest for curms or siabras depending on your standing with them .. i played the curm-part.
End of the new quest is a little fight between curms and siabs.

I saw the curm courier, before he left he camp east of MM, he says something like

'Why do I always have to deliver the message, I don't know why I go, can't even read it.. oh well, better get going to Tharl'

something like that

Tharl or whatever his name is, is a named Curm past the parth farm.. I dunno.. I think it might be just new patch thing..

Yes, I'm pretty sure those were added with the 1.49 patch and are unrelated to the GOA campaign.

Its a great little quest. However, I was sitting down and enjoying the high noon brawl when some high level 'chanter turned up and nuked both groups

Curmi is associated with the "Occupation of Lough Gur" quest. This is another quest that requires you to have neutral faction with either the Curms or the Siabras.

Its nice to have a reason for wandering about hibernia slaughtering curms
