Is this a cheat?

Once upon a time i twas messing around in CS and remembered a command someone told me to check my TRUE FPS.

I typed in

• timerefresh

in the console and hit enter.
Then i kinda spun around 360 degree's and as it spun into the wall I could see through the wall at other players.

Just wondering whether this could be considered as being a cheat...

If it can do that, yes, though when I time refresh, I don't get that at all. And I feel kind of sick anyway.

But it's purpose is not to look through walls, therefore using it as such is an exploit, and in my opinion a cheat.

Surely this isnt possible anymore with anti cheat measures gone into later versions of the hl engine ?

This isn't going to turn you into a leet wallhacker, since it takes too long to spin around. When I do it, I can't see through walls at all.

And what anti-cheat measures in the halflife engine?

Timerefres lets u check your fps, if it lets you maybe see through a wall sometimes, its a pretty longwinded and stupid way of exploiting.

Then your frankly admitting to cheating and if you are using it to see through walls your an idiot, more so for admitting it here.

a) i dont play CS/TF online anymore
b) i dont consider it to be a cheat. Just a bug/flaw in the game and coding of the game.

They should have sorted it out by now if they thought it to be a cheat and I would go by their actions more so than yours.
