Converted to Battle Realms ...

I'm a fan of AOE and play AOK quite a lot, but I was wondering if anyone has played Battle Realms ? I've seen reviews, and they all seem positive. Anyone played it. How does it compare ?

I heard that all the units are individual - kinda like heroes or sommat?
