After reading various threads, and as I am coming back to the game on Saturday and dont fancy putting up with what you lot have had to, I have formed the letter body below (bastardised from various posts) which I would advise emailing to all of the following email addresses:

cscld@francetelecom.com;cscld.ip@francetelecom.com;cscld.gc@francetelecom.com;cscld.itfs@francetelecom.com;cscld.voice@francetelecom.com;cscld.pw@francetelecom.com

Dont forget to edit the parts noted, if we make a nuisance of ourselves they will do something:

Dear Sir/Madam,

I play an online game hosted by a customer and sister company of yours wannadoportal, called Dark Age of Camelot, I am based in ****INSERT COUNTRY HERE*****.

According to them you performed some scheduled maintenance as per below:

Server downtime tonight
[2004-7-10]

We have just be informed that our provider will be performing a maintenance on the network this evening at approximately 1am CET. This means that the connection to the servers will be interrupted at this time and everyone will be disconnected from the server. The maintenance will be short and you should be able to connect back to the servers within minutes. Unfortunately we will not be able to give out a warning ingame beforehand so expect to be disconnected from the server around that time. A reminder for English players, 1am CET will be 12am for you.

Since this date the game has been unplayable and various trace tests point to the problem residing on your network:

So4-0-0.FFTCR1.Frankfurt.opentransit.net 193.251.129.89 0% packetloss

P6-0.AUVCR2.Aubervilliers.opentransit.net 193.251.132.74 30% packetloss

P3-0.PASCR1.Pastourelle.opentransit.net 193.251.128.118 30% packetloss

WanadooPortails.GW.opentransit.net 193.251.251.54 30% packetloss

193.252.122.14 30% packetloss

193.252.123.33 end destination

Please can you confirm that this is being investigated and what the eta on a fix is?

Regards,

If you have 500 support calls to all four addresses, believe me someone will do something, if only to stop the emails!

Answer i got

Dear customer,

we need the full traceroute (with his source @ip, date
and time) in order to investigate further and perform some reverse
tests.
If you are not our direct customer, you need to open a request to your own provider first who will
refer it to us if needed, or they can complain to DAOC directly.
we were not able to find a maintenance related with Wanadoo
Portails at this date, might have been a maintenance on your local
network where the servers are located.

At this time we don't see any packet loss on our backbone links and can
reach DAOC servers without any trouble.

Best regards
