Constantly Crashing to Desktop, Help plz :)

Hi was ingame for a good few hours yesterday morning and had no problems at all.

logged off a few hours and came back. since i came back EVERYTIME i log in i last ingame for about 5-10 seconds then DAOC closes .. no LD page no Blue screen . just crashes direct to desktop..

i havent downloaded anything or changed any of my settings..


Anybody have a remedy or a solution to the problem please?

p.s did get a error earlier yesterday tho saying sommin about dumping memory error or summin like that,

Most common problem with this is memory from my experience.

Run memtest (google memtest x86)
Try setting the game to run in compat mode for win2000

Let me know how you get on, i had the same issue for ages and it was a faulty stick of memory.

Yup what above said is my best guess too.

got several different memory testers, windows memory tester takes some errors memtest dont take vice versa. UBCD have both and some more.
I remember a friend of mine had a CTD issue and some occasional bluescreens.
Found it with the tools in UBCD, have since had lots of use of that compilation. I use it when i partition/format check harddrive health, basic scan for viruses even.
