Anyone recommend a good console RPG ?

Preferably not on PS2 but will settle. None of that Final Fantasy crap either.

SW: Knights of the Old Republic. Only one I can think of that I thought was really good.

your all forgetting morrowind on the Xbox, it really kicks ass. I love SWKOTOR, but it doesn't have the longetivity and open-ended gameplay of morrowind, plus now u get the expansion packs with the GOTY edition.

I've had it a year & I still play it.

What u mean by normal RPGS what Japanese Random Battles everywhere with turn-based (yawn) fighting. Morrowind Kicks ass and u know it, aswell as Fable when it comes out and Phantasy Star Online, or maybe Jade Empire

SNES is great, but I prefer Playstation 1. Get it chipped (I don't condone it!) and import all the great japanese old skool RPG's.
Lunar, Grandia, Legend of Mana, Chrono Cross, Suikoden, etc. :D

I'm currently playing PSO collection on the GBA, really quite good for an RPG that was made 16 years ago.

Am playing Chrono Trigger, don't have a clue what am doing.

I enter a portal and seem to have landed in the same world just years before.
But unlike most of todays rpg you can explore everywere and don't have to follow the story.

But i still don't have a clue what to do, but fear my tornado attack!!!
