Console Problem!

Can anyone help me out here!While I am playing CS I cannot
access the console.Anyone got any ideas on how to solve this Problem.It worked fine before I installed the new version of CS.

check that you have the -console parameter in the commandline you run.
Also check that you have bound a key to toggleconsole in your config file

go to your config file there should be two things in the bind section to do with console (with console in name) make sure they are the same key. I had 1 as ~ and the other as `.

Thanks Guys,but I can't find that config file anywhere in the half-life folder but I did solve the problem by using a CS shortcut on the desktop with the following.. -console -game cstrike. By the way were is that config file.

You should(will) have a config.cfg file in your Half-Life/CS folder.
Edit it using notepad, but if you are going to write scripts it is best to put them in autoexec.cfg because then you avoid the risk of losing them. In fact it's a good idea to have your 'final' config setup in autoexec.cfg to stop CS messing with it (ie when V1.1 comes out)
