Considering Mid/Excal

Hey, former blademaster/ns from Hib MLF considering moving to Mid/Excal. As a skald are chances pretty good at joining a gank group? Hoping to get decent RR in a gank group, then later possibly soloing some or duo.

In any case, chances of joining a gank group... well most RvR guilds will only accept you if your RR5+ (probably upping to ML:X in the near future) these days, so your probably looking at some pickup group action until you reach 'acceptable' status. Though there always seems to be a shortage of skalds - atleast when I go out to Emain so I guess that wouldn't be too much of a problem.

In any case, if you choose to join Midgard - Welcome. If not then good luck with where-ever you do end up.

Hmm, the thought of leaving one server where ML10 groups that are rank 7+ dominate all, not because they are good but because the abilities are overpowered, to the same thing on a Euro server.... That's kinda discouraging. Maybe I'm just better off sticking with the US servers because I don't have to start from scratch.

I could get to 50 and solo a good amount of artifacts, but thats not what I'm worried about. 99% of any pickup groups ive ever seen are entirely incoherant and incapable of killing anyone 8 on 8, let alone the more often 8 on 2-3g.

at the momment this game penalises new players, while offering no risk for powerleveling buffbotting fotm power gamers. the difference between a L50 and a L50 rr7+ is bigger than a L50 to L60 mob. Anyone starting the game now has no chance of matching the RR10s we have on the servers. Each time mythic nerf an over powered class or a bugged line they don't remove RPs gained.

one option is to role back people to realm rank level to a max of RR5 every year. or after RR5 Realm death results in sub realm rank level lose (1 per death) after you get to RR5.

the other way is to bive massive bonues to lower ranked people that kill emeny players higher than then, maybe multipling the RPs by the level difference, so if a RR2 is in a full group and they kill a RR6 assassin, that player would get something like 1000rp intead of the normal 250 odd. and for Higher RR players revers it, so if the RR6 kills a RR2 solo he only gets 250+ instead of the 1000+ he would normally get.

ever since we got the /level command many people have resorted to PL and groups are pritty hard to find at lower levels. If they also change the amount of exp gained forplayer that have used a level command to x2, and have that bonues passed on to everyone in the group (so new player can take advantage of the increaded exp) everyone would benifit.

that is a fkin good idea i think, after certain rr (7 for instance) getting to rr10 should be an acheivement that you need to keep, then there would be more competition to be number RP holder, and you wouldnt have peeps like garb/dom @ 13mil rps and rising - the top of the RPs would be like the top of the premier, constantly changing , losing RPs on RvR death is a VERY good idea - i approve!
