Considering a DAOC return

Im seriously thinking of downloading catas and rejoining DAOC.

Could someone give a few lines that describe the new classes allocated to Hibernia ?

Having played on Alb/Pryd before Im interested in making this fresh start here, any tips on guilds, I wouldnt class myself as a strong RvR player but I thrived on organising and running events such as ML's and epic raids - any guilds more suited to that with a little RvR thrown in ?

Or... should I forget this and not bother downloading catas

Indeed he might well know Speeedy/Gimly. I vaguely remember a tears from Prydwen running raids. Can't quite place the name but then I'm past 30 now and keep forgetting to put my pants on THEN trousers

If it makes you feel any better Tears, Speeedy had killed everything there was on albion/prydwen in raids, got bored, quit for WoW and since coming back is loving it again. Stupid bugger is even running raids on hib now

Hib got 2 new classes, the Vampiir and Banishee. Vampire is a melee fighter with some nice stuff like healing over time and some other cool stuff. They cant be buffed becaus they got some buffs themselves, so it makes it a easy char to level without a BB.

Banishee is a caster class with cone-spells(Hits all infront of the mage), dont know that much about its spell, other than its a good caster.

Just a little thing that I found out last night which annoyed me a bit was that if you play a catacombes class, you cant use /level 20 command, so have to exp lvl 1 to 20... fun eh!

I'm actually thinking of not only banning shit like that from guild chat but also putting a minimum age limit on entries into my guild. Don't want it to get too big, just mates having fun and I don't want to have to make sense of txting shite like that. Belongs on mobile phones!


By the way I'd NEVER class a vamp as a tank.. just my opinion

faril, its not the same tears as the one in fom she quit forgood im pretty sure. when i played my shaman but got bored i let her use my acc to make a new healer but fom wouldnt invite her because it wasnt her own acc (when i didnt play anyways).

Yup im from Pryd/Alb - but with a fresh restart wanted to play Hib, but im just as nice (unless you were in The Last Watch - then im mean spiteful and vindictive)

Ahh bugger - 1 hour till brothers home, and ive still no idea what class we should play.

I like the idea of a Vampiir as theres no need for a BB then, but thinking about it theres so many other BB's around, someone that you group with may have one, and solo RvR was never my cup of tea.

I was tempted for a second with a luri caster, but the light spec damage is the same for all 3 casters <sigh> maybe a healer or a tank urm......

What classes are always usefull for PvE raids ? and what classes are normaly in the runt of the groups (it seems to be theurgs-pallys and clerics in Alb)

Animists are a must for PvE raids, Verd Sped + BB would lvl fast
