Yes 21 sec in SuperPI 1 MB at only 2.4 Ghz..compared to a Athlon FX at 3.4 gighertz getting 26-27sec .

NetBurst technology was a failure for intel and they recognized it when most users started to understand that clock frequency doesn't show performance of CPUs.

It still does tho.. If this conroe would run @ 3.4 Ghz it would even wield better results.

cpu would get

1 - longer pipelines - bad
2 - faster cash memory - good
3 - higher power consumption/temperature - bad

if you make an algoritm of 100% prediction for FPU operations Netburst tehnology would be priceless
