Connection Problems?

Just tried to get into the game using TOA and SI clients I run two client accounts on one PC.

yesterday I got in no problems, today loading starts then stops at loading screen something like this:

any ideas anyone?

Forgot to add I play from Adelaide, South Australia.

So it might be a local issue or something

Been using directx 9c for a while now

Inormally have no problems with my firewall, but i've even tried logging in without it up.

seems the carrier pigeon between westen australia and singapore, had died, its been replaced now and I can finally log in again.

You seem to have some problem with your keyboard or possibly your display. The corruption of your text may also becaused by a virus.

Big fat thing on the news page saying "if you have problems connecting it might be directx"...

Though I'd have expected a directx thing to involve the client CTD'ing or "renderer creation failed" but it might just hang at the login screen (you know before it like starts rendering the chars and stuff) so might as well cover the bases.

you are not the only one.

Everyobody have problems atm.

Like last night, sporadic total packetloss sessions of up to 20-30secs at a time.

Were doing GoV latnight and when pulling danos + adds at first i though smt was wrong spell didnt go off so i stopped and ran back to re-pull.
then POUFF the entire grp was upon me.

Everyone had the same probs some LDed.

Hmm yes my connection was a little lacking, so to speak, last night. Was having 5 second lag spikes every 5 mins or so, which kind of makes it difficult to pull off a successful PA
