Connecting to BF1942 Servers

Hi All,

Im having problems connecting to the Game Battlefield 1942 servers, i just keep getting the 'Failed to connect to server' error message in game!!

Ive got the game logon thingy running in my task bar, which shows connected BTW.

The only other thing i can think of is that my router, linksys WRT65G, is stopping it, but from reading the FAQ the game logon only needs to send out data (which should be fine with my router).

I can connect to the Barrysworld Clan servers.

Also, any chance of running bots on the BF1942 servers, i would be willing to play against bots until the real peeps arrive.

I guess the 2 most obvious questions need to be asked here.

Are you a paying Subscriber, if not have you signed up for the 30 day free trial. Also Make sure you have the correct IP address listed for your account.

Hey, its nice to now im not the only one up this late!

Yes, im a paying subscriber, and my IP number is listed correctly in my account details. The game logon smiley face also says logged on when i hold my mouse over it.

Do i need to open a port on my router for this to work?

Is it all Game.net BF servers or a specific one?

Try logging in via the website, as its prob the best way to ensure the system has your correct IP logged in.

Hi Cdr.

I always log on via the web pages. I tried again quickly yesterday, didn't really have much time though, and i was able to connect to a BF1942 subscriber server (i was the only one on it), but was unable to connect to the preview server which was running secret weapons at the time.

I have just tried now and it appears to be able to connect to the preview server okay. But neither of the preview servers are running the secret weapons demo, so could that be the problem?

If it happens again i will get in touch with tech support.
