That's normal for case fans to have a male and a female connector.

You plug one into a 4 pin power socket and you can use the other one to connect to something else.

It allows you to "string" your fans, using less of the outputs from your PSU.

just baffled me abit as i've only seen these sort of fans with 1 connction

Small and slow spining fans often use a small three pin connector and connect to Fan headers on mobos etc. When fans increase in speed/size they require more power thus have to be connected to the PSU, although this is a small fan they most did it to save money or something.

well it came with the case plus i just got a 550w psu so i should be ok :D
