Conn timing out too quick.

Since Im a wanky 56ker, I obviously suffer with the occasional connection trouble (flush entity etc). I used to be able to ride them out, but since reinstalling CS, Ive found that Im getting kicked almost straight away. Is this a config thing or is it server side.

If its config, which cvar do I alter to let me stay in a bit longer.

your getting kicked cos the servers detecting the cheats on your pc

Check in the config.cfg file. In there is a value, something like "timeout".

Checnge this and see what happens.

I belive its 60 max, but i set mine to 120, try 60.

2. Thanks for the advice on fixing it.

Actually its worth remembering Ive met Mider irl a few times over the years, and he IS 7 feet tall, something worth knowing when he gets the hump in game and says "right im coming round your house with a bat "

There is a way to sort all sprayage , its called allowdownloadingame 0 .
Works for me anyways

Sorry Chets, I should have made myself clear. No even the command didnnt work, Ive tried a load of different sttings, in both the CS and Valve directories.

I stumbled across an article in MicroMart which said about changing a setting in the registry which governs connection timeouts from servers, but I havnt had chance to try yet ( I read it at 4am, waiting for a baby bottle to warm up )

I'll post an informative and, hopefully, helpfull reply when I try it tonight. (K Laz )
