Ok here what im after..
I want to bind one key to the grapple..
So that say im running along with my gun and the one key 1stly switches to the grapple and then instantly fires it too , then when i release this same key it switches back to my original weapon.
Got it?
ALL on one key so its gun ,hook ,fire hook then back to gun all on one key press.
Any other config bit and bobs would be nice too and its all for standard CTF

Grabbed this from The Bind , you should go and visit them for any q2 binds you want; they'll probably have 'em.

Instructions: Cut & Paste the following lines into your autoexec.cfg file, and change '/' to whatever key you wish to use.

alias hookselect "use Grapple;echo Grapple Toggle; alias hooktoggle prevselect" alias prevselect "weaplast; alias hooktoggle hookselect" alias hooktoggle "hookselect"

bind / "hooktoggle"

I'm not gonna bother giving you a bind since you'll already be there, but just to say that I found a system like that wasn't very useful. I tend to switch to grapple, then grapple all over the shop for a while and then switch back, and the weapon switch times just made that very tricky and annoying to do with only 1 key.

Obviously you may be different, but I ditched it after only a few attempts.
