Condemned?

Just spotted this for £9.99 on Gameplay.. been tempted to play it and even more so now its at bargain price.

Any good?

Currently only have Kameo to play through before Halo 3 / Conan / something comes up.. I'm guessing K's not a long game so may need something else as I have a fair bit of free time to kill at the mo.

Also, anyone bought Stranglehold? Worth it or worth waiting for a price drop?

with ikaruga, sensi , rez and speedball 2 due like above spend on live.

this game sold well coz when the 360 came all there was to choos from was the crap nfs underground conversion, cod3, pgr3 and condemed. pld ok, used the fear engine but totaly not worth the cash now

Condemned is currently sat in a pile of games that are being taken in town tomorrow to exchange against Super Paper Mario

The fact that I only managed around 1/4 of the way through this game means I'm probably agreeing with the rest of the peeps here

Random question - what did you guys think of PDZ? I picked it up when I first got my X360 a few months ago, played it for 25 mins then switched it off and traded it in a day or two later :x

I really wanted to like it, because of it's history, but I too have never finished it. The online mp is meant to be really good, but I just found that I could not get used to the controls.

i actually really liked condemmed too, played right through to the end and enjoyed it!


pdz is actually pretty damn good online, kept me occupied for a looong time and got loads out of it, traded it in for £8 cash recently cuz i was skint tho+wanted to go out

Pretty shocked by the comments really. I picked condemned up cheap recently and was quite surprised how good it was. Couple of bits really are pretty good at getting the ol' fear up while maintaining a decent story. Its no uber classic but for 9.99 id say its most definitely worth it.

Hehe, £9.99 deal looks like its on a Classics box I'm afraid.

I am tempted - I've heard very good reports elsewhere so was surprised when I didn't get anything positive here. But I may save my money and wait for Halo3 / Conan - I've got some research project work I really should do more of in the meantime.

I'm tempted by Stranglehold as I like that kind of game, but am confuzzled by the mixed opinion so not sure :S


Also: Why the hell do they release Classics / reduced price titles in crappier looking boxes? You'd think they were trying to shift the things and it doesn't look like it would cost them much to use a better looking image on the box cover...
