Computer reboots when zoning

Maybe someone has had this before...

I just installed W2k and installed all updates from the windows update. I got the latest detonators. I got directX8.1.

First time I start up DAoC it loads just fine. But when I try to zone in the game (/release and porting to emain so far) my computer simply reboots. Now this sounds very strange... I could understand a crash or a hang... but it's like hitting the reset button when I zone. It never goes to the Loading... screen, instant crash when I try to zone.

What I don't have yet is VIA chipset drivers (or are these stored somewhere else like the mobo or do I actually need to reinstall them after formatting my C:?) and latest sound card drivers. However I doubt those could cause this kind of behaviour.

Make sure you have the latest VIA chipset drivers if you can, especially if you had them before. Can't guarantee they will solve your zoning problem but they do improve the Bus Mastering and AGP port handling.

Well I did try that the next day after I posted and it looks like it fixed the problem. Didnt have time to post it here.
