Yesterday when i was going to install a newly bought 512 ram. When i tried to start up the computer wouldn't start. so i picked out the new and tried with tha old, wouldn't start. So i tried with the new only. wouldn't start.

Aswell as the Cd drive stopped functioning. I didn't get any sratup screen either. I tried to change gfx card to my old ati 7000 if it was that wich was faulty. I also tried changing monitor in case it could have been that.

The next thing i checked was the power supply. i borrowed an powersuplly from an frind an tried it. this wasn't the problem.

I've also tried to reset the Bios battery, this didn't help.

So do you have any idea what might have hapened.

disconnect all IDE devices and just start the computer with motherboard, RAM, and gfx card. (IDE devices not inserted properly can really fuck things up, or at least used to in old systems :D)

Since you already tried different gfx cards, power supplies, and RAM's im betting either you managed to fuck up both your RAMs or the motherboard/cpu :(
