I recently found the Collectiors edition of Dark Ages and have just begun playing. I was wondering if there are any Midgaard roleplaying guilds around?

Always nice to see completely new players. :) Welcome to DAoC! Hope you will enjoy the game as I did, and ignore most of the crap you see posted here on FH--you will grow addicted to it if you're not careful! As for the question of Mid roleplaying guilds, I would have no idea, unfortunately.

Welcome to Midgard!
You made the best choice you could make ;)

There aren't really any roleplaying guilds on Midgard/Prydwen.
(I might try and make a change in that some day though)
Amazons of Midgard is one of the 'most roleplaying' guilds in Midgard
and you'd have to be a female character for example. But it's not that
they run a story in guildchat or anything roleplayish like that.

What are your standards for a roleplaying guild? :)

Well I like casual role playing but I also like more hardcore role playing. In SWG I created a string of player run events. It was about creating a town for people who were tired of the civil war. We held meetings, elected representatives etc. and everything in character. We held parties, and hunting quests.

I just have a question about the training in DAOC. I have heard the term "to auto train". Where do I find that option. I can only see the regular "train" button when I am at my trainer.

you auto train automatically (hence, auto train) certain skills at lvl 8, 12,16,20,24 etc etc.

however in midgard only Warriors and Shadowblades auto train (afaik) Warriors auto train their weapon specs and shadowblades stealth

hmm well, i try explaine shortly whit my uber english :D

auto traine mean some your skills, example stealth, is automaticly trained if drop under 10% (example, dont remember ecaxt numbers) yours lvl.

usually, example shadowblades in midgard, dont traine stealth at all before lvl 48, whit this shadowblade get free ~12 to stealth and can use few more points other skill lines.

midgard only classes who have autotraine is shadowblade and warrior, reality only shadowblade get benefit, warrior traine all weaponlines, shadowblade only to stealth.

example few alb classes can use weaponline when xp to 50 what dont autotraine, and when ding lvl 50 they respect to line what autotraine (rised automaticly and free) and get few point higher weapon line.

US servers is auto level thing what we in EU server dont yet have and this is totally different thing.
