As I been waiting for DAoC to come back up, I have been playing Bloodwych :) obviously the DOS version using D-Fend Reloaded...

Now I'm at the point where I'm stuck because theres some stupid bug...

---------------------

A very useful patch that fixes the Welcome back" bug (There shouldn't be a wall at the other end! :) To run this just go to DOS command prompt and run the program followed by the name of faulty savegame file you want to fix

---------------------

I have to be honest I'm not very good at this sort of thing :) Could some1 tell me how to do what he is saying in the paragraph above pls?

I'm hoping somebody has played it on the PC :) and knows what I'm on about, hehe

Open a DOS prompt in windows, by typing "cmd" into the run box from the start menu.

You'll need to know the name of the savegame file and it's location. Put the patch file in the same folder.

Navigate to the folder in dos by typing: "cd foldername"

Run the patch by typing the name of it's file followed by the name of the savefile: "patch savefile"

1) Create a folder on the C:\ called Fix (so C:\Fix\)
2) Put the program to fix the file and the save game file into folder C:\Fix
3) Click Start and type cmd
This will bring up a program called cmd.exe on your menu
4) Right click cmd.exe and click Run As Administrator
You will get a black window with a flashing cursor
5) Type the following:
a) C:\
b) cd C:\Fix
c) <name of program> C:\Fix\<name of savegame>
Replace <name of program> with the name of the program to fix the file
Replace <name of savegame> with the name of the save game
If you dont know what they are type 'DIR' and it will list the contents of the folder

I have another problem going with your order :)

I get this message:

Unsupported 16-Bit Application

The program or freature "\??\C:\fix\WBFIX.EXE" cannot start or run due to incompatibity with 64-bit versions of windows. Please contact the software vendor to ask if a 64-bit windows compatible version is available.

Any suggestions, sorry :)

Dunno. Try COMMAND.COM instead or forward the gamesave to a Freddie who has 32bit Windows. (Not me Sorry)

You can run a 32bit command prompt by doing the following:

1) Click Start
2) click Run
3) type %windir%\SysWoW64\cmd.exe

Do the rest of the process as above
