Find it a bit of a shame that some premiership clubs are now playing weakened lineups in the fa cup like they do in the league cup.

Arsenal could end up playing 8 games this month after playing 9 last month. You have to rotate some timesand i suppose some managers might like europe over the FA Cup. Saying that Arsenal are resting Cesc and Clichey anyone eslse that dose not play is injury related.

Depends really. Those still in the Champions League and also the UEFA Cup might play just for those, but seeing as they no longer get to defend the title the League Cup and the F.A. Cup are good ways to try to get yourself a European spot for the next season.

The FA Cup is just like the league now. The big 4 have won 17 of the last 19 FA Cups with Everton and Spurs winning the other 2.

Its not an excuse as they should of won, but everton are fighting for 4th spot, in the semis of the Carling cup and still in the UEFA cup, which is why they put a weekened team out. Only the big 4, really have squads capable of competing in 4 competetions.

Such is the money involved with the champions league (£12million just for qualifying), that teams are always going to put 4th place in the premier, over an FA Cup win.

That said, im disgsuted Everton couldnt beat a weakened Oldham team. Its embarassing.

Thats the reason the big 4 win it, they have the squads capable of putting out 2nd teams that are still a match for anyone. When the mid table teams do it they leave themselves open to defeat leaving the cup free for the big 4 to win it.

I liked Platini's idea of the cup winners getting a champions league place. It is far more deserving winning a cup than coming 4th in the league.

Like metioned before its usually the top four that win it so it will not matter, what i do not like is the year Milwall lost the final to Man U who already had Champs League it would have meant instead of Arsenal or Liverpool Millwall were in the Champs League. And that would not have been good.

Prob is in the Premiership, they are used to time on the ball, but when they play these lower sides, they are used to no time on the ball, and dog eat dog stuff? therefore they put in 120% were these top flight footballers are happy at putting in 100% does that sound silly?
