We know about the issue on Excal (I suddenly got flooded with MSNs telling me about it).
Unfortunately it's not something we can deal with here and now. We have informed Mythic and we will be doing everything we can to resolve this problem.
I'll keep people updated as I get more information.

For the time being we have not frozen the relics. The bug seems to have struck only once and relogging clears you to use the chat channels again.
If it looks like being a repeat of the weekend before last when it crashed a lot then we will review this.
For the time being we are keeping a close eye on the situation.

Its already been confirmed that it happened on other Europe servers, YS and Broc amongst others iirc. As for US servers, who knows. Seems strange that Mythic had to make a custom patch to fix this.
