I don't think that AoC is buggy in so many ways, I played way more broken MMOG launches (EVE Online, Tabula Rasa) and they were enjoyable too.
The letter from the Game Director is good. They decided to invest in quality first after the product got launches, this will enable them to do functional changes easier later on.
Clever timing will mean they will announce it is due for few days AFTER ppls 30days ends imo
What about the useless feats? sounds to me like they put them in a month before release and said we will let the buyers test them.
What about the annoying debuffs that stay on you FOREVER until you log out?
What about the bugged roots that leave you rooted until you log out/die
I could go on the game is a buggy mess in it's current state and to say it is a pvp game? there is no balance what so ever to any of the classes they are either terribly Overpowered like the PoM or unpowered like the necro/demo.
I won't be resubbing after my free trial is up which is a shame because i really wanted to like this game unfortunatly the shiney graphics are not enough to keep me here ;/
I am sure if we give funcom 5-6 months the game will start to look and feel like a polished product in its current state i refuse to pay them money.
It is sure going to be interesting to see what the server populations are like after the 30 day free time is up.

I got you, you think that the feat system is useless.
I suggest to try to do some PvP or step up to harder tasks in PvE, I think some stuff is not managable without proper use of feats.
I doubt though that you played all classes to 80 to make such a blanket statement about the feat system being useless. When something is useless then it is most of the skills you can spec into . I can't speak about all classes though, so maybe the class you play indeed has useleless feat trees that make little difference.
For me stuns, roots and knockbacks need an immunity timer and the bugs need to be fixed. Doesn't sound like not managable to me.
As for the subscribtion base being higher or lower after 30 days, I don't don't care. People who don't like the game or who didn't had their expectations met will leave the ones who like it or expect fixes in their favour will stay.
It's not the Armegeddon that is coming upon us when some stop to play. I bought 2 WoW copies once, left between level 14-25 and I dind't feel the need to go to random forums and to cry about how the game didn't convince me, I think it's pointless.
It's not like Funcom said that they made an all-purpose-device that will suit everybody and lied to you. And in case you believed some marketing bullshit then I am sorry for you, I get what I see and what I see is good enough for me.
The root bug you mentioned is pretty annoying, I had it last gaming session two or three times with the last patch and I think that new patches shouldn't introduce new bugs, if it happens a couple of times people will indeed fuck off for good.
Been perma stunned yet? that's also funny once the guy who stunned you figures out you can't move and just waits there sending you dumb /tells and if he thinks your logging out he will hit you just so the log out stops and you actually have to exit the game ;/
