Can anyone post tips or useful idea's they have found with this game.

Easy armies are...well, too easy, but medium and hard wtf pwn me :(

I try and capture at least half of the resources asap, then start expanding but aftert a while the enemy have tanks and its an uphill struggle.

I put barbed wire and tank obstacles on main roads as they cost nothing to make! I don't aim to build tanks, I get AT guns and wait for them to come to me. :D

Make sure you retreat your men back to HQ if the squad is almost dead, that way its cheaper to re-inforce back to a full squad again.

My number 1 tip is be aggressive take the fight to him right off the bat build a barracks straight away and build 2 infantry units then go around and start capturing what he has captured and just basicly harass the little twat until he quits.

Build ops posts on you're fuel dumps asap to get the fuel coming in.

Focus on his fuel points, when he looses them its just a question of time til he looses the game.

I got to disagree with Kevin, a defensive strategy like that hardly ever works. You need to attack as aada has said. Harrassing with a few cheap units while you build a stronger force for your main attack will make your opponent waste resources and time.

After losing to Clown err... EVERY TIME maybe I'll try a different tactic :(

My defence tactic works fine against the AI even on hardest mode but not against humans.

That would be because the AI is bugged and can't deal with barbed wire. The only way it ever gets through barbed wire is by sheer accident. That said there are some very good players online who scorn using tanks and can hand you your ass using the infantry or paratrooper discipline.

oh, humans are only about a million times faster and infinitely more adaptable than the computer ;) I pwn the CPU at DOW/WA on all levels yet Ch3tan still hands me my arse every time because he's used to playing against humans and I am not :) (though last time I nearly had him when the bloody gas-man rang ffs)

Watch some of the replays on there, you'll get some good tactics from them.

Vs humans, offense is the key. Never have units idle if you avoid it. If you've got spare infantry use them to de-cap enemy points (ones near there base will cut off ones beyond them). Even if you decap to neutral then hit retreat, you'll cost your enemy time and resources.

When playing agianst AI and playing Allied army. I take airborne, at the beginning I take like 40% of the points. and build a decent defence around the chokepoints. With dropped cannons, machine gun squads and some snipers etc.. This keeps them busy for some time. Then just capture their fuel points and keep dropping cannons to kill their tanks.

After 25 min orso you can start making your buidlings and make some tanks. you can do alot of air bombings because of the resources drop you get with being Airbone commander. + you can make 'cheapish' machine gun squads.
