Hi, after I formated my computer I have some problems watching different movies on my computer.

The main problem is the movies at www.apple.com/trailers/ which there is no sound (annoying as hell).

I downloaded the AC3 filter, Xvid Codec, DivX player+Codec but still nothing.

I downloaded an MxO movie as well which played but without sound.

Anyone know if I'm lacking some codec or something?

Appreciate any help.

None of the trailers there have anything to do with Xvid or divX. They are all in quicktime format, so have you installed the latest quicktime software? The latest trailers on the site are NOT compatiable with quicktime 6 they require quicktime 7. The sound in quicktime movies is part of the same driver set so no additional software is needed.

You can make sure everything is setup correctly by going into control panel then opening the quicktime settings. The second tab on the window that opens holds all the audio settings for quicktime playback.

if you dont pack video/audio just install these:

ffdshow (the 2006 versions are nice, some improvements from official releases)
zoomplayer (best videoplayer out there, vlc has some annoying problems)
