Anyone here play call CoD4 and is exceptionally good? Need a 5th for clan (all ex DAOCers) and am asking around, post ITT!

Bit strange considering i just spent the past 4 hours playing multiplayer ps3 with 5 other people in my room :l

Surely the pc is the no friends option since you have no choice of multiplayer at all?

Don't worry he is just hating on consoles because he knows he doesn't have the skills to compete using a different control scheme than what he was spoonfed with.
a REAL gamer enjoys anything that has good games, and can pick up any controls and do well.
The next gen consoles. 360/PS3, is just as online multiplayer focused as the PC.

PC can support shit loads more local players then a console will ever do.

Local as in 4~ people on the same piece of hardware. Sure if you all took your PC's around a mates house and held a LAN 'party'. Would love to see 4 people sitting around a PC playing CoD like you could on a Console.

Have been playing it the last few days and for the first time since BF2142 I think I've found a FPS I will enjoy for some time.

Pretty much, tbh i got the game and was pretty disappointed with it. Although i havnt really played all that much online, mainly because it annoys the fuck outta me for the reasons you stated.

Biggest pain in the ass is grenade spam, never in a game have a seen so much gren spam, people just throw them randomly and most of the time get a kill from it.

Second pain in the ass for me is getting 1 shoted from about 100 miles away from a guy prone hideing in a bush.



And yea, your health is pretty releastic in this game, 1/2 hits and your more or less dead, which takes about 0.05secs to recive enough damage to kill you, so who ever fires the first bullet normaly wins.. And it is also true that the weapons are pretty dam accurate too, when scoped in i would say you cant really not kill them if you have the enemy lined up. Not much recoil at all.

Anyway thats my opinion, maybe i havn't gave it much of chance but im playing TF2 alot these days, but it seems a mix between BF2 and CS:S.

How many nights u talking about, i luv my LMG/P90/Barrett best. I dont use grenade launchers, last stand or martyrdom

Well it will be for clan wars, which are generally 5v5 on the pam modification for CoD4 (no airstrikes/choppers/stupid perks) I don't think we'll have set nights for a while cos we'll be playing PCWs, but if we sign up to a ladder/league then that might demand a night or two per week.

Well.

A challenge would be to not die. Kills mean sh*t all, if you have to die three time to get one.

About grenade spam and accurate weapons/shooters, isn't that quite realistic?
