Awesome Milou, hope you enjoyed it and got a lot of interest, great work.

Like Rynnor, I'd like to know where I could buy some :) (feel free to chip in on my 'photo to canvas' thread).

Yeah, how do I buy them and get you paid at the same time?

I think their fantastic shots but I still havent figured out how I can buy any - can you reccomend a site that has them in stock or will print them?

Cheers - much appreciated.

Moors Valley are selling the framed shots for 75 quid and after a commission I'm not making a *huge* amount especially considering the amount of work/effort/time/etc that's gone into them. Having said that, I do take shots for pleasure as opposed to commercial reasons and part of the motivation for this show was to get the work seen beyond the photoblog (the blog gets about 200 visits per day apparently). Although the show finishes in May, Moors Valley gets 6,000 visitors a day in August so I'm hoping it might lead to other opportunities. To be frank, I doubt I could give up the day job.

All prints are professionally made locally to me in Southampton and I put the mounts/backing boards together. All materials are acid free as are the tapes etc that bind the image to the mount and the mount to the backing board. Everything is handled with great care and cotton gloves.

It's not worth selling framed shots online due to transportation costs but I'm just giving final thoughts to selling mounted shots online. This has been difficult to judge but after feedback, to call it that, and various bits of research i.e. having a butchers at other sites, it's likely that a 12 x 12" image in a 40 x 40cm mount/backing board or a 15 x 10" image in a 50 x 40 cm mount/backing board would sell for £45. I think a 8 x 8" image in a 12 x 12" mount/backing board would go for £25. A typical price for an unmounted 18 x 12" image comparable (possibly!) to my sort of shots is between £40 - £55. Then again a 50 x 50 image from Charlie Waite is £650 :D (not that I'm making a comparison!!)

To date I've only sold a couple of prints via the blog and I've only made a couple or so print sales through a Bristol gallery. Most of my sales (and there hasn't been that many) have been via agencies for book covers and whatnot so this is a bit of an adventure for me. Self doubt does tend to be at home for many photobloggers!

You might laugh, but have you ever considered setting up a stall with your work, in a town centre somewhere?

Especially outside one of those shite "3 pebbles in the sand" picture places.

I bought the Aran Sheep picture as the family liked it too :)

Another one went while we were there - might get another one on my way home on monday - the slow exposure one of the waves on the beach looks cool.
