i have a CO2 walther PPK with blow back. the problem i am havin is first of all, the CO2 only last 30 shots and they run out. secondly, it seems after the first 5 shots off a new CO2 container, it no longer automatically cocks its self.
the slider gets stuck half way, so i gotta pull the hammer down and manually cock it my self again.

anyone in the gun business who can tell me why this is happening?

I would have thought you would get a few more than 30 shots. Maybe 40 or 50. It depends though, if you use a Umarex (brass coloured) co2 capsule they last a lot less than the Crossman (silver coloured) capsules.
I have , among others, a Walther CP99 , and get about 40 -50 with a gold one, and maybe 60-70 with a silver. I would disagree with the above statement, although I know the CP88 is a bit prone to wear both it and my CP99 are consistant for at least the first 35-40 shots. However if you want a really good co2 pistol get a Crossman 2240, ugly as sin but fires a .22 pellet as fast as the Walthers fire a .177, and with a longer barrel actually hits stuff on a regular basis. I shoot stuff with it on the ranges that people with rifles are aiming at :)
Your seal could also be nackered, worth investigating. They do a replacement bit for mine, dunno about the PPK though.

/edit as far as the slide sticking goes, thats just the nature of the beast really :(

took it to an arms dealer and he said one of the pins keeps coming loose after about 30 shots. the pin comes loose and so the slider on the top is rubbing on the pin.
