CM not working in W2K?

Anyone come across this? MY NTL cable modem appears to have stopped working in w2k. Was working fine yesterday night when I went to sleep (about 11pm) but this morning when I boot up w2k I just get DNS errors and apparently no connection at all - can't ping anything in DOS box.

I've booted into w98 (dual-boot machine as always) and it works fine, no sign of trouble.

CM is connected through ethernet not USB and I've not changed any settings of any kind since lastnight.

I'm asking here first 'cos you lot are clearly clever and NTL tech support is blatantly useless

OK ignore that, just rebooted back into w2k and it works fine now.

Surreal. Ah well, maybe it was just an NTL outage that only lasted as long as it took me to boot into w98

Most probably short term DNS problem.

Yeah - But you can be guaranteed that NTL Tech support would not of been able to tell you to reboot.
