Over on the BBC, they have posted an article about researchers at NEC-Mitsubishi who say the nation's office workers are being hit by "Irritable Desk Syndrome". Along with the common back problems, they have also listed some other facts including:
...Around 40% said they were infuriated by too much clutter and paper on their desks but could not be bothered to do anything about it...
Many of you sit in front of desks and will know some of the many disadvantages. For me it's having to listen to a lady describe in detail how her baby came to the world. Or someone nearby scratching, allowing their flaky skin to float amonst the keys of a keyboard I might be using later in the day *shivers*.
